Sources and Evidence
What Eastern Lens cites, what it interprets, and what it refuses to claim.
What Eastern Lens is
BaZi, or the Four Pillars, maps a birth moment to a distribution of the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. The reading asks what that pattern makes easier and what it makes harder.
The method is built on a corpus of Chinese classical texts. The passages behind it are published in the Classical Library with the original Chinese, an English translation, and links to three independent sources, so the claims can be checked rather than taken on trust.
What Eastern Lens does not do is predict events, or replace medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. The evidence levels on every claim say which of those it is.
Not sure which to pick?
Start with the sample reading. It shows a complete chart and the questions a full reading works through, with nothing to sign up for. If it does not sound like something you would actually use, the rest is not going to be for you either, and that is fine.
